What is unusual about your hometown, place of work or job?

My workplace is a male-dominated workforce that lacks diversity.

What does this year’s theme, “Everybody’s Union” mean to you?

The theme means two things to me: solidarity and diversity.

What issues will be important when your Local’s contract expires? 

With the rising level of inflation and the cost of living in the Vancouver area, our big issue will be keeping wages in line with inflation.

What’s your go-to dance move?

Who would you most like to have dinner with, and why: Jennifer Lopez, Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson, George R.R. Martin, Liz Cheney, Michael Jordan or Drake? 

Michael Jordan. He's the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time) and his competitive drive is unmatched.

What things have you done or hope to do while you’re here?

I hope to absorb a wealth of knowledge from like-minded leaders and share our experiences. 

Have you yet decided how you will put the convention to work when you return home?

My goal is to gain some insight from other local unions and districts and about the challenges that young workers face. I hope to create a Next Generation committee that can share and implement ideas from young workers to advance our union further.
