What is unusual about your hometown, place of work or job?

We are the home of the original Quaker Steak and Lube, known for having the best wings in the USA.

What does this year’s theme, “Everybody’s Union” mean to you?

The hashtag is #1u, which means “One Union,” right? When you look at the big picture, a win for you is a win for me, and vice versa. When new workers like the ones at Starbucks organize for better wages and benefits, that means better wages and benefits for all workers no matter what job we do.

What issues will be important when your Local’s contract expires?

Health care is definitely always a big issue. The pension is extremely important as well. Scheduling, work life balance, paid time off – those are always important especially the way things have been going in the steel industry.

What’s your go-to dance move?

 “The Hype Man”

Every leader has a good tune to walk out to when introduced. What’s your walk-up song?

“Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top

Who would you most like to have dinner with, and why: Jennifer Lopez, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, George R.R. Martin, Liz Cheney, Michael Jordan, or Drake?

Definitely The Rock. He’s awesome, and he played Maui in “Moana,” which is my daughter’s favorite movie ever, and we watched that movie together all the time.

What things have you done or hope to do while you’re here?

I’m just taking it all in, enjoying finally getting to meet a lot of people in person, enjoying the fellowship that comes along with being in a crowd of like-minded people.

Have you yet decided how you will put the convention to work when you return home?

This is my first convention, and it starts tomorrow, so I feel like I’m really looking forward to finding that all out.
