What is unusual about your hometown, workplace or job?

Buffalo is fighting back from steel industry job losses, and we’re building up union density in service, healthcare and communications occupations.

What does this year’s theme, “Everybody’s Union” mean to you?

Our job is to work together, build communities and address challenges in our workplaces – and more importantly – in the streets and at home.

What issues will be important when your Local’s contract expires?

Quality of life issues specifically as it relates to newer hires and younger workers. It’s what employers need to do to attract and retain quality workers.

What’s your go-to dance move?

Boogie and sway.

Every leader has a good tune to walk out to when introduced. What’s your walk-up song?

“Big Poppa” – Notorious B.I.G.

Who would you most like to have dinner with, and why: Jennifer Lopez, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, George R.R. Martin, Liz Cheney, Michael Jordan, or Drake?

The Rock because he’s an inspirational guy who made it big but always helps others.

What things have you done or hope to do while you’re here?

I’m looking forward to seeing the inner workings of how the union and its constitution change or not change. I’m here to participate in the process.

Have you yet decided how you will put the convention to work when you return home?

I look forward to sharing the experience and the information we learn with the members of my local union!
