What is unusual about your hometown, place of work or job?

Edmonton is the city of festivals and has more than 50 festivals throughout the year.

What does this year’s theme, “Everybody’s Union” mean to you?

What is cool about the USW is that we have members from many employers and sectors across North America. Everybody can find their people, group, or family within our union.  I am so proud to see our union keep growing and getting stronger!

What issues will be important when your Local’s contract expires? 

It will be important for our local union to continue to build a strong and healthy relationship with the new AltaSteel owners.

What’s your go-to dance move? 

It used to be the knee slide, but now my knees don't work the same!

Every leader has a good tune to walk out to when introduced. What’s your walk-up song?

Born This Way by Lady Gaga.

Who would you most like to have dinner with, and why: Jennifer Lopez, Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson, George R.R. Martin, Liz Cheney, Michael Jordan or Drake? 

Jennifer Lopez because she has diversified herself in so many ways through acting, dancing and singing. 

What things have you done or hope to do while you’re here?

I am happy to see and learn how all of our processes work and come together. I am also looking forward to reuniting with old friends and making new friends.

Have you yet decided how you will put the convention to work when you return home?

I will be working on forming a Human Rights Committee in D3 and working to build up my local’s Women of Steel committee. I look forward to any opportunity the union presents to me.
